Hey guys! I hope this post finds you all happy and well! Fall is here and that means school is about to start again for my little man Hanes. I can’t believe this is his last year of pre-school and he is pretty stoked to be back to school with his buds. So, as I have mentioned before, Hanes has quite the imagination and loves to tell stories about all kinds of things, some true and some not so true haha! Because he loves stories so much, whether it be telling them, watching them, or Brod and I reading them to him, we thought it would be cool to introduce him to some of our favorite stories/books that we read as kids. So Brody absolutely loved (and still loves) the Harry Potter series of books. Hanes has seen the first and second movies a couple of times, but we thought it would be cool to actually have him learn the whole story. The best time to learn to read is when you are young, that way hopefully you will keep that love of reading with you the rest of your life. We teamed up with Audible, which is so rad and easy to use, and has thousands of books to choose from and and listen to. Of course they have Harry Potter, so Hanes and I thought it would be cool to listen to the audiobook of one of Brody’s favorite book series ever and kind of allow him to re-live and rekindle his love for Harry Potter at the same time. As I said, Audible is super simple to use and they even give you a free 30-day trial to try it out and see if you like it. You start with a free book of your choice and have thirty days to decide if listening to audiobooks is for you or not. Hanes loved it, and listening to the story of Harry Potter from a narrator kind of brought a new sense of life and energy to the story. We just kicked back in the office and listened to a few chapters, and I think it is something that we will make into a habit. I want him to learn to love to read and listen to books, and I feel like Audible is a great way to get started. If you guys haven’t checked the site out yet, go do it!
