Happy New Year to every single one of you! I hope this post finds you in great spirits and excited to begin a new year! 2017! Can you believe it? Seriously 2016 went by so fast. It was an amazing year full of both ups and downs, adventures, challenges, struggles, tears, joys, and wonderful moments! I am so grateful to be alive and to have the family I do to jump head on into 2017 with a conviction to be better in all I do! I want to do better than I did before because I can. I hope to spread more good, more kindness, more love, more inspiration, and focus on being the best mom, wife, and person I can be!
Today, I am coming to you from the one of a kind Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. This city is like no other place I have been in my life. It almost doesn’t seem real…. it has the desert, the beach, skyscrapers for days, theme parks, amazing hotels, and this drive to be bigger and better and crazier than any other city in the world. Brod and I had the opportunity to spend this past week here, with our friends Cody and Christine and it is an experience I will never forget. The pics below are from our hotel, the Madinat Jumeirah, which was fantastic in every single way. The attention to detail was top notch, and it honestly felt like we were staying in Aladdin’s Castle mixed with the grounds of Jurassic Park haha! I don’t know any other way to describe it, but it was magical! If you have the chance to Dubai, I highly recommend staying at the Madinat Jumeirah, it was first class in every way!
The first day we were there we had the chance to go to “old Dubai” to visit the textile, spice, and gold markets. It was so cool to be able to walk the original streets of Dubai and duck in and out of the local markets, bartering with the shop owners and taking it all in. We traveled from market to market by way of boat, and old Dubai was so rad! We loved it! Anyhow, I will be sharing more details from our trip with you, I hope you all had a great New Years and that the start to your year is a wonderful one!
