Hey gang! Happy Thursday.
Today, in the spirit of TBT (throwback thursday for those that don’t know), I am taking it back to the city that never sleeps, aka New York City. Brod and I had a quick 48 hours there a little bit ago to attend meetings and get some work done, and I was reminded during our quick stint of just how much I love New York. It has this energy and pace that is unlike any other place I have been in the world. The feeling of everyone grinding to follow their dreams, to survive, to create, to work harder, to be the best, is a feeling that is so inspiring to me, and sort of tiring all at the same time. There is also this effortless cool that the city has, like it has a history of being cool without trying. I don’t know how to quite describe it, but I love it, and that has always been the best kind of cool to me…the kind that comes by way of simply being who you are. I kicked it in an oversized hoody, jeans, some boots, and a dad hat for this particular day of meetings and to-dos, and I must say that though this is such a simple look, it is one of my favorites. I feel like it fits in that category of effortless cool.
Back to New York City real quickly…what do you guys think of the Big Apple? Do you dig it? If so, why? Why not? What are some of your favorite spots in NYC?
