Hello loves. I hope this post finds each of you in great spirits and enjoying your day.
So, today I want to talk to you about the importance of taking the time to bond with your kids, and how spending time with each of my boys is pretty much my favorite activity of each and every day. I also want to introduce you to a product that I will be using over and over again as we bring this new little baby girl into the world. The product I am referring to is Dreft, a baby detergent that is gentle on baby’s skin and has an iconic scent that resembles the smell of babyhood. Not only do I love that smell, but a recent Dreft survey found that 8 out of 10 parents feel that using Dreft can make them feel more bonded with their baby. How awesome is that?! The unique scent of Dreft detergent brings the smell of “babyhood” to life and can even help to foster feelings of being more bonded and connected to our little ones we love most.
I had heard some of these amazing things about Dreft from some of my friends that are mom’s so I decided to try it out while nesting for my little girl and pre-washing all of her cute little outfits and blankets.
Ok, so here is something crazy, after using Dreft to actually wash baby girl’s clothes, I can honestly say that it really does have that familiar newborn scent that reminds me of when my little guys were babies. That smell brings so many memories to mind as I think of both Hanes and Arrow as newborns that it is also starting to make me feel bonded to my little girl and that much more excited for her to arrive. I have a feeling that when she is born, that amazing smell of Dreft will continue to help us bond long after that newborn smell is gone. I can also feel confident using Dreft because it is super safe for baby’s skin and is, in fact, the #1 pediatrician-recommended baby detergent. How cool is that?!
Arrow was so dang cute the other day as he helped me fold baby girl’s clothes and we talked about what life is going to be like with a new sister around. He was killing me saying “mom, I will probably teach her how to do lots of stuff.” We had a great time bonding and hanging out together and it was a reminder to me that one of the most important responsibilities we have as parents is to spend TIME with our kids, getting to know them, learning and listening from them, and just simply being with them.
I’m so glad I was able to team up with Dreft and get a chance to use it to pre-wash all of baby girl’s clothes and fabrics while I am getting ready for her arrival. My experience using Dreft was positive in every way and I will definitely be using it moving forward to continue to grow that bond with my little girl and recommending it to all my new mom friends!
