Park hangs

Hello loves. So I don’t know about you other moms out there, but if there is one thing my dudes love doing more than anything else…it is playing at the park. I think they might ask to “go to the park,” on a daily basis. Climbing, cruising down slides, doing the monkey bars, playing ninja turtles, and hide and seek. These are the games that Brod and I witness day in and day out and I have grown to absolutely love watching the way my guys play and interact with each other! And wow their motors never seem to slow down!

So, I got thinking, with the amount of time we spend at the park, especially during summer evenings, I thought…why not incorporate some workouts and exercises that I can do while they boys are there playing? This is not my regular everyday workout, but has been something I do a couple of times a week and has helped me to enjoy my time at the park more thoroughly, and has helped me feel better than sitting on a bench the whole time.

First things first, I don’t do my park workouts when the playground is crowded with kids, I make sure to wait for the times at the park that are more low-key and less crowded. Second, I try to keep my exercises and workouts at the park simple. Push-ups, pull-ups, leg lifts, sprints, body squats, lunges, and sit-ups are all part of what I like to mix in my park routine. I try to find a good mix of exercising and playing with the boys, sometimes I do more playing than working out and sometimes more working out than playing haha! The nice thing is whatever I end up doing more of that particular evening, I always make sure to snag my workout clothes at Kohl’s. I know I have mentioned this before, but I absolutely love the selection, variety, and prices they have there. I am such a fan of Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas, and lucky for me, Kohl’s carries a great variety of all three brands. For today’s post and park workout, I went with the all black look (I do this a lot with active wear) and stayed with a Nike ensemble. I was able to find the shoes, shorts, and tank all at Kohl’s and each of piece could be found at a fantastic price point. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the activewear at Kohl’s, do it! Like do it right now!!!
