City of Cartagena

Hey guys, happy Monday! So, we are back from Oahu and gosh, I miss it so much already. So, in honor of our amazing trip to Hawaii, I am going to take it back to another tropical climate and our visit to beautiful Cartagena, Colombia. As I look back on these pictures and our trip to Cartagena I can’t help but fall in love with this city all over again. The colors of the buildings and balconies were so varied and so unique in the sense that so many of them were painted different colors. Reds, yellows, purples, browns, pinks….they were all over the city and they were all so awesome. The city of Cartagena is not only full of old and amazing architecture, but it also has such a vibrant and fun feel to it. It must be part of the Colombian culture to make one feel cheerful and energetic, because that is all we felt the entire time we were down there. It’s so cool to me that a city can have a “feel” or energy or vibe to it, but having been to many different places and cities, there is definitely a feel to each of them. Where does that come from? The environment? Culture? Climate? Landscapes? It probably comes from all these things, but I would say the most influential factor of the feel or vibe of a city are the people. Think about it. People. In my opinion it is actions and thoughts and personalities of people make up the way a city feels. For those of you that have been to these cities below, think about the energy/feel/vibe you felt while there:

New York
Chicago
Paris
London
Rome
Los Angeles
Dubai
Las Vegas

The list could go on and on, and it doesn’t only apply to big, well known cities, but think about the city you live in and why it “feels” the way it does. I think that it has to be the people!! Any who, the city of Cartagena was fantastic and is a place that I look forward to returning to again, that and other cities in Colombia. I hope you all have a fabulous Monday and big thanks for your love and support!
