Cruising with Royal Caribbean to Perfect Day at CocoCay

Hello loves. So, we went on a cruise. Not just any cruise, but one heading to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas. And let me just tell you, it was fantastic. The highlights were pretty much everything, from the staff and food, to the waterslides and beach, we absolutely loved every minute of it. Brod, the boys, and Echo had never been on a cruise before, and I gotta say that I think this set them up for failure when it comes to cruises for the rest of their lives, because this experience was so amazing!! As you can see from the photos below, we did a little bit of everything. Waterslides (both on the island of CocoCay, as well as on the ship, Navigator of the Seas), chilling at the pools, splash pad, basketball, ping pong, min-golf, swimming, and more. And let me tell you, and this is the truth, every bit of it was amazing. And that is a huge credit to Royal Caribbean and the experience that their staff and environment provides. If you aren’t sure if a cruise is for your family, I highly recommend trying a 3 or 4-night getaway to Perfect Day at CocoCay like the one that we did.

If we had to pick one part of the cruise that was the favorite amongst the kiddos, Brod, and I…I would say that it was Perfect Day at CocoCay (pronounced “Coco Key”). This island was like one big water adventure paradise for kids and adults. From the tallest waterslide in North America, Daredevil’s Peak, to water obstacle courses for the boys, it was one big and beautiful and happy place to be. The only way to get to the island is on a Royal Caribbean ship and they’ve divided the island into a “chill” side and a “thrill” side, which I think was brilliant because it has something for everyone. We spent time on both “sides” of the island and loved them both for different reasons. The chill side of the island had a beach called South Beach unlike any we have ever been too. Clear blue ocean water that stretched for miles and was so shallow that we all walked out (even Echo) for hundreds of yards in the white sand to hang in the ocean. The chill side also had amazing food at Chill Grill, a huge freshwater lagoon with a swim-up bar to relax at when we got a bit tired. The thrill side of the island provided just that; thrills!! With more than a dozen waterslides, a wave pool, a zipline and a helium balloon ride called Up, Up and Away. The waterslides were the hit of the trip for the boys! They were unlike any waterslides I have ever seen-where you could ride face-first, tummy down, roller coaster slides, tall-steep and crazy fast giant slides, and my personal favorite…a group-riding, tube slide called the Slingshot slingshots you into the air! It was incredible and I laughed/cried the entire time!

I could go on and on for days about our experience at Perfect Day at CocoCay, but the photos and descriptions can only go so far, you gotta go experience it for yourself and you will see and feel and take part of what I am talking about!! My recommendation, book it now, and go make your own amazing memories at Perfect Day at CocoCay!
